Mother’s Day is this Sunday (31st March), which is surprisingly late this year. As a parent myself, being a mum has been the most rewarding experience but has not always been easy. However, watching my son grow up (way too quick!) is full of laughs, fun and priceless memories. This is why I think this card below (Why They Invented Mums Mother’s Day Card) is great as it is so true!

Why They Invented Mums Mother’s Day Card

In the UK, Mother’s Day is always the fourth Sunday of Lent which today is traditionally celebrated by children with the giving of cards, flowers and gifts. Sadly Mum’s, we will all lose a valuable hour in bed as we ‘Spring Forward’ the clocks an hour for British Summertime! Gutting, but a great sign that Summer is on it’s way following the cold weather we have had in recent weeks!

You have your Mother’s Day Card but what message are you going to write?

It can be hard to know what to write as we don’t always say or show how we really feel. However, Mother’s Day is a great time to remind your Mum how grateful you are for those telephone calls, words of advice or just the simple things that she has done to put a smile on your face! We hope this helps and gives you some inspiration this Mothering Sunday!

Difficult times and relationships…

Mother’s Day is about celebrating all Mum’s, but sadly not everyone’s Mum is still around. I also saw an advert on TV the other day. I think it was for the lottery but not 100% sure. However, it was about young man who said I never had a dad so I would send a card to my mum on Father’s day and Mother’s day. Why don’t you send your dad a card? Or send a friend who has lost their mum recently a thinking of you card?

If your relationship with your Mum is complicated, what about sending a card with a personal message, even if it is Hope you have a lovely day. However, you celebrate Mother’s Day with your family we wish all Mum’s a very Happy Mother’s Day.
